Grove Fest Organizational Meeting @ Eastside Grill
in Atlanta Highway Wal-Mart Shopping Center - 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.,
This Thursday, August 4
Bring your concerns, updates, ideas. Only 9 days to Grove Fest!
Ballroom Dancing including Swing, 2 step, and Cha Cha.
This Friday night, August 5, at 301 Dexter Avenue
(underneath Dexter Ave Methodist Church).
Lessons begin @ 6:30 with a dance party @ 7:30.
No smoking or alcohol at this location.
Cost is $5. Contact Chuck C. for more information.
Beyond the Grove this week meets Saturday night,
August 6 at Moe’s in EastChase @ 6:30
Contact Chuck A. for more information @ 657-6159.
In addition to our normal fellowship time,
we’ll be discussing how the Grove itself has been going
and looking for new ideas.
Grove Fest Fund Raising is still in progress.
We still need funds. We have raised about $4000 of $7000 needed. Please give as you feel led.
Also, we still have stage space we are giving in exchange for business donations of $500 or more. 3 feet of stage space is available as well as mentioning in our “day of event” program. Please contact businesses you know and extend this advertising opportunity to them.

Key needs for GroveFest Stage banners to be sold
Personal Fundraising (get envelopes at coffee machine, get fund raising letters from Chuck C.)
Volunteers for Parking, security, selling artist merchandise, set up, clean up, our own information booth, and artist shuttle to and from the airport.
Point Person for Security
Labor Day Beach Retreat, Sept 2-5 @ Pelican Beach Resort in Destin, FL

The cost is $79 / person for 3 nights lodging
Meals will be extra and we will all pitch in to pay gas with car pool
All rooms are condo units with fully equipped kitchens so you can bring food if you like
Condos are 3 br w/ pull-out couch in living room - so 8 people per condo unit.
The schedule is vey laid back - we will have 4 worship sessions throughout the weekend and that's about all that is planned specifically.
