The Grove News - 09/03/2006
If you are new to The Grove, we are glad that you joined us and hope you felt welcome among us! We are a group of like-minded friends from different sound Christian churches around Montgomery that share life together. Our prayer is that we will glorify God, be mission oriented, and grow together in His image as we hang out, attend our local churches, and keep on meeting on Tuesday nights. Feel free to contact any of the people listed below for additional information regarding The Grove or check us out online at www.groveontheweb.blogspot.com.
Upcoming Activities:
Progressive Dinner - We are planning a Progressive Dinner for September 8th. The progressive dinner will have us going to three different locations for each part of the meal (appetizers/salad, main course, dessert). $5.00 will cover the meal expense for each person participating in the dinner. Everyone planning on attending will need to sign up with the $5.00 by this Tuesday night or email Lauren Breeding before hand that you will be attending. We will be meeting at Gateway at 6:45 to carpool to the different locations. Also if you are interested or already volunteered to cook, plan on receiving a call from Lauren with additional information this week.
This Week At The Grove (Tuesday 7:00pm - Gateway Baptist Church):
We will be having a praise and worship night this week at the Grove.

"Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, or the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full or mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness." James 3:13-18
