Is the Grove coming to an end?
Attendance has really fallen off. Leadership is dwindling in number. Week to week coordination is getting less and less consistent. Overall enthusiasm and commitment seem low. Is it just the summer break or something more?

Beyond Grove Fest

We need feedback on what went well, how you saw God at work Saturday, what could be improved, problems, suggestions, and ideas for GroveFest 2006. Thanks to everyone involved from start to finish. A lot of people worked very hard to make Grove Fest 2005 a reality from its inception only 3 months earlier.
Beyond the Grove – This Friday, August 19 @ 6:30 p.m.
Ballroom dancing at the 301 club (no smoking, no alcohol) at 301 Dexter Avenue
(underneath Dexter Avenue Methodist Church)
This week they are teaching swing lessons at 6:30 with dance party at 7:30
Admission is $5 and they sell sodas, water, and snacks.
You do not need a partner to come out. There are plenty of folks to dance with.

Tequila Grill in Prattville
Meet at New Sam’s parking lot (near gas station) by 6 p.m. to car pool.
Labor Day Beach Retreat, Sept 2-5 @ Pelican Beach Resort in Destin, FL

The cost is $79 / person for 3 nights lodging.
Money is due to Drew Burton by Friday, Sept 2. Sign up in advance.
Meals will be extra and we will all pitch in to pay gas with car pool
All rooms are condo units with fully equipped kitchens so you can bring food.
Condos are 3 br w/ pull-out couch in living room - so 8 people per condo unit.
The schedule is vey laid back - we will have 4 worship sessions throughout the weekend and that's about all planned
