Grove Organizational Meeting
This Thursday, August 25 @ 5:30 p.m.
King Buffet in Bell Rd. Bruno’s Shopping Center
We need some fresh ideas and new leaders as such key leadership as Blake and Stephen See have recently moved on. Please pray about what God is going to do at the Grove and where you fit in. Bring your ideas and concerns.

Trail and Lake Day – This Saturday, August 27th
Meet at 9 a.m. at the Swayback Bridge Trail in Wetumpka for hiking.
According to the reviews, this is a medium difficulty trail – whatever that means!
Lunch afterwards at a nearby BBQ restaurant.
Then, head up to Lake Jordan for swimming and boating in the afternoon.
Dinner @ Lakeview marina (if we don’t have a huge crowd) or a pizza run.
Bring your own snacks and drinks.

Directions to the Swayback Bridge Trail:
Located North of Montgomery, Al. Take US231 North from Montgomery through Wetumpka. You will cross highway 14 and go 3.4 miles to the turn to Jordan Dam and YMCA Camp Chandler. This is old 231 and you can only turn left. You will go 2.4 miles down old 231 till you see a turnoff to the dam and the camp. Look for reddish Sign - SWAYBACK BRIDGE TRAIL. Travel 100 yards to the trailhead. It is a short (70yd) dirt road that connects old 231 and the road to the dam. The trail starts just off of old 231. If you cross the swayback bridge you have gone too far.
Labor Day Beach Retreat, Sept 2-5 @ Pelican Beach Resort in Destin, FL

The cost is $79 / person for 3 nights lodging.
Money is due to Drew Burton by Friday, Sept 2. Sign up in advance.
Meals will be extra and we will all pitch in to pay gas with car pool
All rooms are condo units with fully equipped kitchens so you can bring food.
Condos are 3 br w/ pull-out couch in living room - so 8 people per condo unit.
The schedule is vey laid back - we will have 4 worship sessions throughout the weekend and that's about all planned
