The Grove News!

Ola everybody!
Your prayers for Chucks Dad were very helpful. He is back at home
recovering with no serious heath problems.

I also wanted to remind you of our Grove meeting this Friday, 6:30pm, at our
house (103 Dunn Drive). Call me at (334)207-5442 for directions or with any
questions. We are going to order pizza afterwards and some people are
planning on still making it to the Mercy Me concert that night as well!

At the bottom of this email you will find The Grove updated email list so we
can stay in touch and share prayer requests with each other. You can always
check us out online at www.groveontheweb.blogspot.com. All the e-mails that
you send to the list below are going to be posted on our blog automatically.

If you are new at The Grove we want you to feel very welcome! We are a
group of like-minded friends from different sound Christian churches around
Montgomery that share life together. Soon you are going to receive the list
of upcoming events for the month of May and the speakers schedule. Our
prayer is that we will glorify God, be mission oriented, and grow together
in His image as we hang out, attend our local churches, and keep on meeting
on Tuesday nights!
In Christ, Bruno Resende.

News from Tameka!

While at the Grove last night, Tuesday, 4/25/06, a man was murdered at a gas
station on Eastern Blvd. (The gas station just before nearing Wal-Mart.)
The man was shot several times between 7:30pm and 8:00pm, and left to die in
the gas station parking lot.

Please, Grove, let's send out a prayer for the slain man's family, for the
city of Montgomery, and for the lost soul's of this world. The murderer has
not been captured as of yet, but I pray for the safety of the city of
Montgomery.

Also, friends, please pray for my aunt, Bridgette Coleman, who has been
battling schizophrenia for over 15 years. She had been okay for the past 8
yrs. or so, but in the last 8 months she has gotten worse. She was released
from a home this past week for a trial run after being taken away by police
about 2-3 weeks ago. However, my grandmother and mother reports from
Mississippi that the medications are not helping as much as they are adding
to the madness. Please pray that she be delivered.

Thank You for all of your support!

Grove's prayer request

Chuck Atkinson just called me this morning and asked us to pray for his
dad... he had a bad injury on his knee and had to be taken to the emergency
room. He also has diabetes and this could be a serious thing. Lets join him
in prayer!
Abiding in Christ, Bruno.

News from Jason!

To the Grove,

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who wrote a letter to my friend Wes.
I know he will be so excited to read them. Second, I would like to ask
again for another writing. I'm currently trying to collect FIFTY letters to
send to him by May 1st. I know that many of you are busy but I believe that
if my friend recieves FIFTY letters of encouragement from a bunch of
christians, that one just may touch his heart. That one could change his
entire life forever. So I ask you, Can you please take just a few moments
to write a short letter of encouragement. I've been told by a few people
that they didn't know what to say, so I figure I can write an example below
to give those who may struggle writing a letter of encouragement to a
stranger. Thank you so much and God bless you all or as they say in
chichewa Mulungu aku dalitseni

Dear Wes,

I've heard about you through a friend of yours named Jason Beasley. He told
me that you are due to be released next year in March. Praise the Lord. I
also heard that you are a big Atlanta Braves fan, you may be dissappointed
but Chipper Jones strained his knee the other day on a bunt down the third
base line and he was hurt. He's been put on the DL for awhile, there still
doing good without him. They brought a guy up named Preston from Triple A
and he's doing awesome. I'm sure you are getting really excited to see your
family, friends and hear about all things that have been going on in the
last three years. I wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you and I
hope the Lord will keep you safe and in control while you live out your last
few months inside jail. I hope someday we can meet, for I have heard good
things about you. I heard you have a Bible, so when you get a chance read
Psalm 41, its a great passage. I remember when I was struggling so much with
being lonely and the Lord led me to this passage. After I read it and
prayed about it, I felt an overwhelming amount of joy fill up in my heart.
It was such a blessing to have the Lord love me so much. You know He loves
you too. Wes, it's been a pleasure and blessing writing you today. I hope
and pray that the Lord will come into your life and show the joy only He can
give. God bless you.

In Christ,

jason paul beasley

This is just a mere example. It took me about five minutes. You can use
the same layout as I did, so please take that FIVE minutes to possible
change his life forever. Thank you

News from Aric!

Hello Grove-ers:

I need to request an email address change. As more and more people are
getting into the communication train for the Grove, my email Inbox is
getting inundated with 'personal' email. Please change your address
books to reflect my home email address: aric261@charter.net

I love hearing from you all, but I'm beginning to spend too much time
reading emails and not enough time working.

Thanks everyone! Guys, I'll see you tonight at Chris Wolfe's; everyone
else, I imagine I'll see you at the bowling alley thereafter! :)

Aric

News from Laura!

Hey everyone! I am not sure if Chris' e-mail below was sent to everyone or
not, but I didn't get it (check it out below). I saw it on the GROVE BLOG!
http://groveontheweb.blogspot.com

Anyway, I want to encourage everyone to come to the Bruno's on Friday night.
Gateway Church will have a praise and prayer at Gateway on Sunday at 6:00,
so we will not have our regular group. Everyone plan to come and join if you
can!

Have a great day!

p.s. I heard there was a conspiracy in the Assassins game. Be careful out
there...

Activities reminder

Hello grove peoples!

Just a reminder about bowling this Thursday @ 9pm. We will be at Brunswick
Lanes on Carmichael Road. Shoes are $2 and each game is only $1!!!!
Usually I only end up paying $4 for the whole night.

Also, Bruno has invited everyone over to his house Friday night @ 6pm. He
lives on Dunn Dr., just behind Lee High School. Call him (334-207-5442) or
me (334-663-6646) if you need directions.

Lastly, don't forget about Trenholm Court. Sunday afternoon a group of us
will be going to share food and clothes with people in our area that are
much less fortunate that us.

"Then the King shall say to those on His right, "Come, you who are blessed
of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of
the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was
thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;
naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison,
and you came to Me......Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to
one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me."
-- Matthew 25.34-36,40

These are encouraging words from our Lord. He spoke directly about the
relationship between helping those in need around us and serving Him. I
know that we all search for tangible ways for us to serve our King. This is
one of them.

Have a wonderful day!!! I hope to see you all tomorrow night at Brunswick
or Fri. at Bruno's.

Chris Wolfe

PS. ***Assassins announcement***
No kill times -- Thurs night 6:30pm until 12:00 midnight @ Brunswick.
(elsewhere is still live)
Fri night 5:30pm until you leave Bruno's (again elsewhere is still live)
Any questions?<

The Grove News!

what's up my friends?!! I hope everybody had a great Resurrection
Celebration... and I am sending this to remind you that Jason Beasley is
giving a report tonight about his mission trip to Africa last month. Also I
wanna let you know that Michael Gross, a friend of mine from Frazer UMC who
is on the cover of Montgomery' Journey Magazine this month, is coming to
speak at the Grove in May. He leads mission trips to Brazil during the
Summer to work on a orphanage. Me and Chuck had a meeting yesterday to go
over the schedule for this Summer. We believe that God has been leading us
into a series of Evangelistic messages at The Grove lately. Come to our next
meeting on the 28th if you wanna talk and pray more about that!
Grace and Peace, Bruno Resende.
PS.: if you are interested on some literature related with the discussions
we had at The Grove lately about the Discipline of Simplicity and our busy
schedules, check the Journey Magazine I just mentioned above for an article
entitled "God and Your Schedule" on page 18. You can find this magazine
almost everywhere and it is free.

Tabernacle Replica

Hey guys! I just wanted to let everyone know about the Tabernacle replica
that is set up at St. James United Methodist Church....yeah yeah, I know
what you're thinking :) ---(On the corner of Vaughn, and Ryan Rd.) :) haha

I've been to it twice and it is GREAT! (esp. awesome to see before Easter!)
They have tour guides out there most of the time...but if you want to call
the church and request a time for someone to meet you there they will do
that also!

I believe it will be up through Sunday (April 16)...so if you have time I
would really encourage you to go out there and take some friends and family
:) Great experience!

"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper
you, not harm you, plans to bring you HOPE and a FUTURE!" Jer. 29:11

Hope everyone has a blessed Easter :)

Forward this on to anyone that might want to see it :)

News!

our Sunday night group is canceled this week... I hope everybody have a
Blessed Easter!
In Jesus resurrection, Bruno.

The Grove News!

Hey guys! I hope you all have had a fabulous day! As you all know Chris will
be leaving for Africa soon and he's going to be gone for a very long time. I
know he's sad to leave, but at the same time extremely excited. So, I want
to put together something special for him that he will be able to take with
him. I would love it of y'all could help me out. I thought it would be
encouraging for him if we could put together notes, letters, bible verses,
cards, pictures, anything like that and then put it all together in a
binder/photo album of some sort. I want to start working on it now so that
we can have plenty of time to get it done before he leaves. Whenever y'all
have something ready for me to put in the binder/photo album, just let me
know.
Bruno, I know I don't have everyone's e-mail address. Will you please e-mail
this to the people I don't have? Or you can just e-mail me their addresses
and I'll do it. Either way. Thanks.
And thanks you guys, for helping me out with this. I appreciate it and I
know he will too.
Let me know what you think!

Always in Christ,
Sarah

Don't forget to smile!!
