"I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.  He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.  He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.  Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false godsl  Many, O Lord my God are the wonders you have done.  The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell them they would be too many to declare."  Psalm 40:1 - 5

"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?  Can such faith save him?  Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?  In the same way, faith  by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."  James 2:14-17

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.  Now remain in my love.  If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.  I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.  My command is this:  Love each other as I have loved you.  Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.  You are my friends if you do what I command.  I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business.  Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I have learned from my Father I have made known to you.  You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last.  Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.  This is my command:  Love each other."  John 15:9-17

"Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.."
      Leviticus 19:18
"On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"..."Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and Love your neighbor as yourself."
      Luke 10: 25, 27
"The commandments, "Do not commit adultry," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule:  "Love your neighbor as yourself."  Love does no harm to its neighbor.  Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
      Romans 13: 9-10
"Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
     1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

news!

Hello my friends! I hope everybody is having a good summer so far
everything is going well here in Atlanta. I havent been playing much soccer
on the past weeks but I will give more information later. I would appreciate
if would pray with me that I will get the paper works ready as soon as
possible to go to Germany on that mission trip with the Christian Athletes.
This Tuesday at The Grove our topic is going to be missions still but on the
following two weeks Eddie Chambers is going to be speaking on Community.

looking forward to speak sometime in August when I return. We are planning

Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary?  Who may live on your holy hill?  He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends is money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.  He who does these things will never be shaken.  Psalm 15
